EUROCORPS COMMON TENACITY 2018/19 (SKOLKAN)
CTS provided support to EUROCORPS’ Exercise COMMON TENACITY 2018/2019. CTS formed a special Project Team to provided support for the Exercise Design, Scenario, MELMIL and Execution. The team of eight was able to deliver a complex ambitious exercise at the right tempo to confirm EUROCORPS were prepared as the LCC for TRIDENT JUPITER 19 certification.

SHAPE BST 2018
CTS, in conjunction with our Strategic Partner Roger Lane Consulting (RLC), provided a 6-person team to support the SHAPE Battle Staff Training (BST) in October 2018. The aim of the BST was to provide a training environment for the heads of the major divisions, and their staffs, in order to synchronize and optimize the HQs ability to plan and execute operations. The training regularly involved 2* participants from within the HQ and was subject to direct oversight by SACEUR himself. CTS and RLC designed a training package to ensure that the SHAPE senior staff understood the HQ battle rhythm (BR) and specifically the Boards and working groups that contribute and enable a timely and effective decision-making process.

NAPLES BST 2018
In 2018, in conjunction with our Strategic Partner RLC, CTS provided a team to support the NATO Joint Force Command Naples (JFCNP) throughout the duration of Exercise TRIDENT JUNCTURE 2018. This included designing and developing a Battle Staff Training (BST) package, supporting the HQ in developing their MELMIL Script and providing a 3-person team in support of the final phase of the exercise. The BST provided a training environment for the heads of the major divisions, and their staffs, to synchronize and optimize the HQs ability to plan and execute operations. The training regularly engaged 2* participants from within the HQ and enabled them to better understand HQ BR. Specifically, it demonstrated how the Boards and Working Groups contribute and drive the BR. This training was then followed up with assistance to the HQ in developing their MELMIL package and culminated in direct support to the HQ during the final phase of the exercise.

TRIDENT JUNCTURE 2018 (OCCASUS)
CTS provided support to the NATO Joint Warfare Centre to train and exercise a number of Headquarters on the new OCCASUS setting during Exercise TRIDENT JUNCTURE 2018. This exercise was the largest NATO Exercise for more than 10 years. The HQs trained on the exercise included NATO Joint Force Command Naples, the Norwegian Joint Headquarters, HQ US European Command, German Netherlands Corps, NATO AIR Command, NATO Maritime Command, NATO Land Command, STRIKE FORCE NATO and the NATO 2018 Very High Readiness Joint Task Force. The exercise was based around a NATO Article 5 Medium Joint Operation scenario where the NATO Force was under direct command of SACEUR. The exercise included military, civilian and asymmetric threat dimensions that included a significant number of combat incidents in high operational tempo environment. CTS provided specific support in the areas of exercise design, scenario development, exercise delivery and exercise simulation. In addition, CTS deployed a total of 10 personnel to provide the Joint Warfare Centre with subject matter experts in Intelligence, Operational Planning, Logistics, Civil/Military interaction, Simulation of Government departments and the EU. The exercise was critical in preparing the Training Audience to conduct potential operation in 2019 and beyond.

TRIDENT JAGUAR 2018 (SKOLKAN)
CTS provided support to the NATO Joint Warfare Centre to train and exercise the NATO HQ Rapid Deployable Corps (Greece) and the Multi National Corps (ULM) using the SKOKAN 2 Scenario during Exercise TRIDENT JAGUAR 2018. The exercise was based around a Non-Article 5 Crisis Response Small Joint Operation (Land heavy) scenario, under direct command of SACEUR, in a military, civilian and asymmetric threat environment involving combat incidents with a high operational tempo. CTS provided specific support in the areas of exercise design, scenario development, exercise delivery and exercise simulation. In addition, CTS deployed a total of 20 personnel to provide the Joint Warfare Centre with subject matter experts in Intelligence, Operational Planning, Logistics, Civil/Military interaction, Simulation of Government departments and the EU. The exercise was critical in preparing the NATO HQ Rapid Deployable Corps (Greece) for duties in 2019.

TRIDENT JAVELIN 2017 (SKOLKAN)
CTS provided support to the NATO Joint Warfare Centre to train and exercise Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Joint Force Command BRUNSSUM, NATO HQ Land Command Istanbul, NATO HQ Maritime Command Northwood, HQ Air Command Ramstein NATO Special Operations HQ using the SKOKAN 3 Scenario during Exercise TRIDENT JAVELIN 2017. The exercise was designed to train and test the NATO Command Structure Command and Control Systems when conducting a Major Joint Article 5 Operation, in a multi-dimensional environment, with a near-peer adversary. CTS provided specific support in the areas of exercise design, scenario development, exercise delivery and exercise simulation. In addition, CTS deployed a total of 10 personnel to provide the Joint Warfare Centre with subject matter experts in Intelligence, Operational Planning, Logistics, Civil/Military interaction, Simulation of Government departments and the EU.

CTS provided support to the NATO Joint Warfare Centre to train and exercise the NATO Rapid Reaction Corps (France) and the First German/Netherlands Corps using the SKOLKAN 2 Scenario during Exercise TRIDENT JAGUAR 2017. The exercise was based around a Non-Article 5 Crisis Response Small Joint Operation (Land heavy) scenario, under direct command of SACEUR, in a military, civilian and asymmetric threat environment involving combat incidents with a high operational tempo. CTS provided specific support in the areas of exercise design, scenario development, exercise delivery and exercise simulation. In addition, CTS deployed a total of 11 personnel to provide the Joint Warfare Centre with subject matter experts in Intelligence, Operational Planning, Logistics, Civil/Military interaction, Simulation of Government departments and the EU. The exercise was critical in preparing the NATO Rapid Reaction Corps (France) and the First German/Netherlands Corps to assume the NATO Response Force for duties in 2018.

CTS provided full support for the Exercise design, scenario, Intelligence, MELMIL and Execution for the NATO HQ Rapid Deployable Corps (Turkey) for their internal Exercise EAST 17. CTS provided 16 personnel for this project.

CTS provided support to the NATO Joint Warfare Centre to train and exercise to train and exercise the NATO HQ Rapid Deployable Corps (Turkey) in a Joint Task Force HQ role and HQ Strike Force NATO as a Joint HQ Maritime role using the SKOLKAN 2 Scenario during Ex TRIDENT JAGUAR 16. The exercise was designed around a crisis response Small Joint Operation (Land Heavy), under direct command of SACEUR, in a high intensity, complex military, civilian and asymmetric failing state environment, involving warfighting and CBRN threats. CTS provided specific support in the areas of exercise design, scenario development, exercise delivery and exercise simulation. In addition, CTS deployed a total of 18 personnel to provide the Joint Warfare Centre with subject matter experts in Intelligence, Operational Planning, Logistics, Civil/Military interaction, Simulation of Government departments and the EU. The exercise was critical in preparing NATO HQ Rapid Deployable Corps (Turkey) and HQ Strike Force NATO to assume the NATO Response Force duties in 2017.

TRIDENT JUNCTURE 2016 (SKOLKAN)
CTS provided support to the NATO Joint Warfare Centre to train and exercise to train and exercise NATO HQ Joint Force Command Naples (JFC Naples) using the SKOLKAN 1 Scenario during Exercise TRIDENT JUNCTURE 2016. The exercise was designed to train and exercise HQ JFC Naples ability to command and control the NATO Reaction Force (NRF) 2017. The exercise was based around a NATO Article 5 collective defence Major Joint Operation scenario utilising the deployment of the NRF and the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force. The exercise was used as a means of demonstrating NATO's Visible Assurance, utilizing NATO strategic communications and the NRFs ability to tailor, plan, prepare, deploy, and sustain forces on Operations. CTS provided specific support in the areas of exercise design, scenario development, exercise delivery and exercise simulation. In addition, CTS provided support JFC Naples to conduct their Battle Staff Training and Academics Phases of the Exercise. CTS deployed a total of 10 personnel to provide the Joint Warfare Centre with subject matter experts in Intelligence, Operational Planning, Logistics, Civil/Military interaction, Simulation of Government departments and the EU.

TRIDENT JET 16 (SKOLKAN)
CTS provided support to the NATO Joint Warfare Centre to train and exercise the NATO AIRCOM RAMSTEIN in a NATO Non-Article 5 Crisis Response setting in the role of a Joint Headquarters involving full spectrum joint operations using the SOROTAN Scenario during Exercise TRIDENT JAGUAR 2016. The exercise was designed around a Small Joint Operation (Air Heavy) with AIRCOM operating as a JOINT Force HQ while simultaneously executing its Joint Force Air Component (JFAC) responsibilities and duties. CTS provided specific support in the areas of exercise design, scenario development, exercise delivery and exercise simulation. In addition, CTS deployed personnel to provide the Joint Warfare Centre with subject matter experts in Intelligence, Operational Planning, Logistics, Civil/Military interaction, Simulation of Government departments and the EU.

TRIDENT JUNCTURE 2015 (SOROTAN)
This was the biggest NATO exercise in over 20 years, a major, civil-military multi-agency exercise. CTS took over the lead development of the new ‘SOROTAN’ setting and have been responsible for most of its design. Our team also managed the involvement of the largest-ever number of international organisations involved in a NATO exercise. These included the European Union, USAID, DfID, UNICEF, Save the Children, World Vision, UNOCHA, World Food Program and the ICRC. This was a huge undertaking whose success drew praise from both NATO and civilian authorities. The exercise was designed to train and exercise HQ JFC Brunssum’s ability to command and control the NRF 2016 and to certify that the HQ had achieved Full Operational Capability. The Exercise was based around a non-Article V Major Joint Crisis Response Operation involving high intensity modern warfare and the use of military capabilities in contemporary situations. It was also used as a means of demonstrating NATO's Visible Assurance, strategic communications and the NRFs ability to tailor, plan, prepare, deploy, and sustain forces. CTS provided specific support in the areas of exercise design, scenario development, exercise delivery and exercise simulation. In addition, CTS provided support JFC Brunssum to conduct their BST and Academics Phases of the Exercise. CTS deployed a total of 14 personnel to provide the Joint Warfare Centre with subject matter experts in Intelligence, Operational Planning, Logistics, Civil/Military interaction, Simulation of Government departments and the EU.

CTS provided support to the NATO Joint Warfare Centre to train and exercise the NATO HQ Maritime Command (MARCOM) (Northwood) using the SKOKAN 2 Scenario during Exercise TRIDENT JEWEL 2015. The exercise was based around a Non-Article 5 Crisis Response Small Joint Operation (Maritime Heavy) scenario, under direct command of SACEUR, in a military, civilian and asymmetric threat environment involving combat incidents with a high operational tempo. The exercise served as a venue to certify that MARCOM had achieved Full Operational Capability as the Maritime Single Service Command. CTS provided specific support in the areas of exercise design, scenario development, exercise delivery and exercise simulation. In addition, CTS provided support to MARCOM to conduct their Key Leader Training, BST and the Academics Phases of the Exercise In addition, CTS deployed a total of 14 personnel to provide the Joint Warfare Centre with subject matter experts in Intelligence, Operational Planning, Logistics, Civil/Military interaction, Simulation of Government departments and the EU.

CTS provided support to the NATO Joint Warfare Centre to train and exercise the NATO Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) and NATO Rapid Deployment Corps (Italy) (NRDC IT) using the SKOKAN 2 Scenario during Exercise TRIDENT JAGUAR 2015. The exercise was based around a Non-Article 5 Crisis Response Small Joint Operation (Land heavy) scenario, under direct command of SACEUR, in a high intensity, complex military, civilian and asymmetric failing state environment, involving warfighting in the early stages. CTS provided specific support in the areas of exercise design, scenario development, exercise delivery and exercise simulation. In addition, CTS deployed a total of 14 personnel to provide the Joint Warfare Centre with subject matter experts in Intelligence, Operational Planning, Logistics, Civil/Military interaction, Simulation of Government departments and the EU. The exercise was critical in preparing the ARRC and NRDC IT to assume their NATO Response Force duties in 2016.
